How We Handle Your Data

We know your career history is personal, and we keep our data footprint as small as possible. Here is exactly what happens when you use SkillVector:

1. Your Resume

When you upload your resume, our system reads the file and sends the text to a secure third-party AI service (Google Gemini) to extract your core skills and job titles. Your resume content may be retained by our system for as long as you maintain an account so you can revisit, regenerate, and refine your reports. To manage our resources we may, at our discretion, elect to purge resume content older than 120 days; you can always re-upload a fresh copy.

2. What We Keep

To make your dashboard work, we save your email address, your secure password, and the list of extracted skills (like "Project Management" or "Python") in our cloud database.

3. We Don't Sell Your Data

We make money when you buy a career roadmap, and we may earn a commission if you click on a sponsored course link. However, we do not sell your email, your profile, or your data to recruiters, headhunters, or marketing companies.

4. Payments

When you pay for a roadmap, the transaction is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see, process, or store your credit card information.

5. Your Choices

You can log into your account at any time to view your profile or delete your account. If you delete your account, we will wipe your profile and skill data from our active database.
